Drop the file into TelaViewer: transactions are shown by statement, with the account, the period, recalculated balances and transaction codes in plain words. The CSV export follows the view.Pro
What do the rejection codes in a pain.002 mean?
TelaViewer translates them: AC01 (incorrect account number), AM04 (insufficient funds), MD06 (refund requested by the debtor) and the other ISO 20022 reasons.
What checks are made?
Opening balance plus movements equals closing balance, statement by statement; declared totals and counts; IBAN check digits and length; duplicate references; MT940 statement sequence. Each discrepancy points to the lines concerned.
