PrivacyTelaViewer for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS

In short

• No user account, no ads, no analytics, no trackers.
• Your files are read in read-only mode, on your device. They are neither modified nor sent to a server.
• TelaViewer works offline. The Android app does not even request Internet access.
• TelaViewer never runs a program contained in a file.

Your files

TelaViewer opens the files you choose. Their content is not transmitted, analysed remotely or kept by TELANODE. On Android, the app only has access to the files and folders you select.

In TelaViewer Pro (Windows, macOS, Linux), exports and extractions are saved only where you choose. Exported reports give the name of the original file, never its location on your device.

What stays on your device

This information is never sent to TELANODE:

• your settings (theme, language, windows, recent files, favourites and file catalogues): on Windows, in the registry and the %LOCALAPPDATA%\TELANODE\TelaViewer folder; on macOS, in ~/Library/Application Support; on Linux, in ~/.local/share; on Android and iOS, in the app's private storage;
• on Windows, a diagnostic log if the application stops abruptly; it stays on the computer and is sent nowhere;
• for computer licences, the licence file you install, which contains the holder's name and e-mail address;
• on Android, the date of first launch (trial period) and the purchase status.

On Android, these last two items may be included in the Android backup of your Google account, if you turned it on in the device settings. That backup is managed by Google.

Internet connection

TelaViewer connects to no server to read a document. The pages displayed are produced locally by the application.

When you open a link yourself, from the help menu or from a document, it is shown in your browser or mail app, which apply their own rules. The same goes for the purchase button of the computer version, which opens the telanode.fr purchase page in your browser.

Purchase and licence

• Android: the free trial and then the in-app purchase are handled by Google Play, under Google's privacy policy. TELANODE receives neither your payment details nor your e-mail address.
• iOS: the in-app purchase is handled by the App Store, under Apple's privacy policy. TELANODE receives neither your payment details nor your e-mail address.
• Windows, macOS, Linux: to issue a licence and its invoice, TELANODE keeps the holder's name, company, e-mail address and billing information for the period required by law. This information is neither sold nor passed on. The evaluation without a licence asks for no data. For an evaluation licence requested online, TELANODE stores the requester's e-mail address, which is also used to send the validation code.

The telanode.fr website

The TelaViewer pages of the site use no cookies, no analytics tool and no advertising tracker, and load no third-party content. They may remember your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. The rest of the site is covered by TELANODE's privacy statement.

Children

TelaViewer is not designed for children under 13 and is not aimed at them. It does, however, present no risk: it is a file-reading tool, with no ads and no contact with other people, which does not access the Internet and collects no data.
